Family background:-

Nancy ‘s father Mr. Prakash Sahay is a  professor  at Yogada College and he teaches political science.

Educatinal background:-

Nancy finished her tenth from Loreto Convent in 2005, her plus two from DAV Shyamali in 2007 and graduated in electronics and communication from BIT-Mesra in 2011.

Job experience:-

Though she got bagged a job in a Gurgaon firm in 2011, she left her job in a few months to start preparing for civil service exams in New Delhi.

“It was my first attempt and I am very, very happy to have cracked it,” Nancy said during her reaction after the result announcement.

The changes Nancy wants to bring in society :-

She thinks that the education system of India needs a lot of improvement. Education here is very examination-oriented- students are only concerned with the marks they get, not with the knowledge they gain. However, there seems to be a shift in mindset and hopefully in the coming years, we will see changes for the better. Nancy also believes that some subjects should be made mandatory at school and college levels. For instance, nationalism and moral science should be taught to the students if they have to be aware and morally responsible.
