BITSAT 2016 - Application Form, Eligibility, Dates, & Syllabus:

BITS which stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani conducts an admission test for admissions in the engineering degree courses at their campuses located in Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. The exam is commonly known as BITSAT 2016 and it is the key to admission in BITS.

 Every year around 2 lakh students give this exam, for around 2 thousand seats, that makes the ratio of 100 students per seat.

Important Dates and Events:

Application Form will be available from	3rd week of December, 2015
Deadline to apply for BITSAT 2016	4th week of February, 2016
Test centres will be allotted to applicants	4th week of February, 2016 [Usually a couple of days after the Deadline]
To reserve test dates	March, 2016
Hall tickets available for download	April, 2016
Online exam	2nd to 4th week of May, 2016 [Last year: 14 to 29 May, 2015]
Apply for admission based on 12th class marks and preferences to degree programmes	3rd week of May, 2016 to 4th week of June, 2016
Admit and Wait list release	1st week of July, 2016

The dates are yet tentative as there has been no official notification released, it will be updated as soon one is released.

Application Form

BITSAT 2016 Application forms will be available from December (3rd week tentatively), and the deadline will be usually after a month of the availability of forms.
The aspirants will have to fill the form online and pay the fees, then take printout of the form for future reference.

Note: You can only apply once for BITSAT 2016

What if I made a mistake filling the application form?  

There is nothing to worry about in that case, if you made a mistake, you can simply fill the form again (you have to pay the fees again), and send a letter to the admission offices of BITS that reads the previous application number, it will be cancelled.

Instructions Regarding BITSAT Online Application Form

The following instructions are relevant for BITSAT 2016 application form submission.

• Carefully read the brochure for eligibility conditions and other details.

• Read carefully all the instructions given on the BITSAT 2016 Online Application Form page before proceeding to fill the online form. You are advised to take a print out of these instructions so that you can refer to the same while filling the form. Once you confirm the correctness of entered data it will be recorded and you will not be allowed to change it thereafter. Therefore before confirming ensure the correctness of all entered data. After reading the instructions, click on the ‘Allow me to apply online’ button at the bottom of the application form page.

• After completing the form online, you will be asked to take print outs of the filled form. You should take two copies of the printout and keep with you for future reference. The last date for applying by completing the online application along with prescribed fee is as per official dates announced. You are not required to send any document by post.

• While filling the application form you will be asked for center preferences. You can choose the centers from within India or Dubai. If you choose centers within India you will be asked to give three preferences and will be allotted one out of the three. If you Choose Dubai as a center you will not be asked for any other center preference and you will be allotted Dubai Center.

• Application fee to be paid for BITSAT 2016 application form is fied depending on whether you are selecting centers within India or you choose Dubai as a center.

• While applying online, do not use the ‘Back’ button on the tool bar of your browser. Use the links and buttons available on the page to move from one page to another. Further, when you have completed applying, close all the open browser windows so that others cannot copy your personal details.
