Codefest is the annual coding festival hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering , IIT (BHU) Varanasi, which is completely online so you can participate in the fest in the comfort of your home.
The total prizes for all events are worth INR 4,50,000. You can register for it at www.codefest.tech . It's completely free!

Events in Varanasi:

There are 7 events being conducted during the fest.

1.Appathon

Appathon is an application development contest. The application may be a mobile app on any platform- Android, Windows, iOS, or even a webapp.

Appathon tests your speed, ingenuity and innovation. The duration of the contest is 24 hours.

2.Capture the Flag

This event aims to engage hackers, beginners and experienced alike in creative exploration of the real world computer security arena. It provides students with an opportunity to tackle computer security problems similar to real world scenarios.

3.Decipher

Decipher is Codefest's challenge on Cryptography.The participants would have to use their mathematical and programming skills along with some basic knowledge of cryptography to deduce a problem. Code reading and modification might be required in some problems with general applications of cryptography.

4.Enigma

Enigma is the Machine Learning event. Enigma provides an unprecedented competitive forum to design innovative models that train themselves to solve specific real life problems.

5. Mathmania

Mathmania is a mathematical event consisting of Mathematical puzzles from Number Theory, Combinatorics and various other interesting topics.

6. Manthan

The challenge invites programmers to battle out their coding chops and show off their competitive programming skills. Manthan, through it’s unique array of comprehensive problems, puts the contestants through a gruesome test, from which only the ones truly adorned with an intricate and intimate mastery of data structures and algorithms emerge victorious

7.Perplexed

The coding contest that pushes you beyond your comfort zones. It is an innovative programming competition which aims to test the ability to optimize a solution to a problem based on a unique set of tight constraints.
