CBSE has notified that candidates will given a one time opportunity to correct mistakes in some fields in the application form. Correction facility is available from 15 Feb 2016.
One time opportunity for mistakes correction
A one time opportunity is being given to edit the form. It has been announced officially that such a facility is given for AIPMT 2016 application form.- There is an option for one time online correction of personal particulars of candidates – Date of Birth, State Codes of Eligibility, Gender, Category, Disability Status.
- However, candidate is not allowed to correct any other data under any circumstances.
How to correct mistakes in the AIPMT 2016 application form?
Procedure to be followed for form correction, is given below. Candidates have to log in to the AIPMT official website (www.aipmt.nic.in), at the link given above. The procedure to be followed to make correction in mistakes in AIPMT application form 2016 is as follows.- Go to the candidate log in link given above.
- Enter registration number, and password; same as the ones generated during your application form fill up.
- Check details you have entered in the form and verify against your official documents.
- If there is any mistake, edit that particular field.
- Go through the form carefully before clicking the submit button.
- When you finish editing, check and recheck all details. Submit when satisfied that form is now correctly filled.
- If there is any excess fee to be paid, pay using credit card / debit card or Net banking.
- When form is submitted after correction, print the AIPMT 2016 application form correction slip and keep it safely.

- Category
- Disability Status.
Payment due to change in category: Due to correction in Category, if additional fee is payable, the same shall be remitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the given period only.

This is in continuation to the notification dated 11.01.2016 and notification for one time correction, following information is also provided to the candidates based on their queries received in the CBSE.There is a spelling mistake in the name of candidate, father and/or mother.
The correction has not been permitted as candidates placed in merit will submit their original mark sheet/pass certificate with the correct spelling.
Wish to change the mobile number and e-mail ID given in the application form.
These changes are not allowed as this is linked to the user ID and password of the candidate’s account. Candidates those have given wrong mobile number or e-mail ID may remain in touch with AIPMT website to get the latest information issued by the CBSE as they might not be getting information through SMS or e-mail.
Wish to change the photograph, signature or index finger print impression. CBSE is verifying the quality of
CBSE is verifying the quality of photograph, signature and index finger print impression. In case, if anything is not found suitable, only the related candidate is informed through SMS and e-mail ID to upload the correct photograph, signature or index finger print impression as the case may be.
In place of index finger print impression, impression of thumb has been uploaded.
CBSE has accepted the thumb impression and thus change is not allowed. The candidature of such candidates will not be cancelled and they will be allowed to appear in the AIPMT Examination.
Wrongly mentioned the information that candidate has been debarred from the examination.
Candidature of such candidates will not be cancelled in case it is found that they have not been debarred by CBSE from appearing in AIPMT Examination in earlier years.
Fee has been paid twice through debit/credit card. When will excess fee be refunded?
This kind of refund is made in auto mode similarly as is being done in case of railway reservation. Concerned banks will verify and refund the fee automatically in the same account from which fee has been paid.
Photo has been uploaded in the application form which doesn’t have name of the candidate and date of photograph.
The photograph which is to be uploaded in the application form does not require name of the candidate and date of photograph. Also, if any candidate has uploaded the photograph having name and date of photograph, the same will also be accepted. But name and date of photograph is must on the photograph to be carried to the examination centre on the day of examination affixed on the proforma.
I wish to choose English as medium but wrongly Hindi has been chosen. Now wish to change the medium.
In such cases, no change is allowed. However, the Hindi medium paper will be bilingual meaning thereby it will be both in Hindi and English.

No change is allowed once the choice of the centre city has been submitted.

Qualification code once submitted is not allowed to be changed as it makes no effect on the eligibility of the candidate for the AIPMT Examination.
AIPMT 2016 Application Form Correction – Images Correction
Candidates are sent SMS and email regarding mistakes in images (photographs, signature, right hand index finger impression). Upload the changed / fresh scanned image as per communication received.
Allowed corrections in images
Any correction pertaining to the photograph, signature and right hand index finger impression are being intimated through email and SMS and the same will be available in the candidate’s login account. Other corrections are not permissible, therefore, ensure submission of correct data.- Click here to log in to your AIPMT application form account. If there are mistakes in the images you have uploaded, you will be able to see them and edit them.
As per Point no. 8 of the Important Information given in Information Bulletin for AIPMT 2016, CBSE is in the process of checking the photograph, signature and right hand index finger impression uploaded by the candidates while filling the online application form.
It has been observed that a number of candidates have uploaded photographs / Signatures / Right Hand Index Finger Impression which are either too small or not clear. In addition to this some of the candidates have uploaded these images at the wrong places.
Accordingly all the three types of images uploaded by the candidates are being checked by the CBSE and wherever discrepancy or deviation from required standards is being observed, the applicant will be sent an SMS and e-mail to this effect on the registered mobile number and e-mail ID of the candidate concerned. Such candidates need to upload the changed/fresh scanned Image as per communication by logging into their account on the AIPMT website. The candidates are therefore advised to check their accounts on regular basis for doing the needful in the given time limit.
